Howdy-Kevin here updating the lovely doctor Jones' china blog extravaganza. she has left shanghai and her comfortable posh ritz hotel room and is now settling into her Beijing university housing. she found an ikea in town and is excited about buying trendy yet functional stuff. i'm all alone with those monsters you see in the pictures below. i'll be doing most of the updating for karen between tears and dog walks.

Virgin blog effort - wow, it is almost like being there! Great pictures...I want to sleep in that golden bed, so clean and dog free. You meal does not look that appetizing, though the pastry case is calling my sugar starved blood stream (new diabetic too). Wish I could get tech savvy too - I'm always losing the cords and things that make the magic possible.

Hey Karen! Glad to see you made it okay and got to enjoy some luxury while you recovered from the jet lag. Hope things continue to go well as you get settled into your new digs. Can't wait to see more pictures! School is off to a good start, although things are definitely not the same without you around - we miss our Modernist!! When will you start teaching there?
